In February of 2005, PSALM held one of its annual Liturgical Singing Seminar at St. Seraphim's Orthodox Church (OCA) in Santa Rosa, CA. Seventy people attended, enjoying a full weekend of study, singing, and worship. The theme was "Singing in Community" and featured speakers Fr. Stephan Meholick, Fr. Lawrence Margitich, Anne Schoepp, Alice Hughes, and Shirley Macrina Lewis.

We enjoyed a visit from Bishop BENJAMIN who shared tips on directing music for hierarchical Divine Liturgies. Other topics included "Building Community Through Sacred Song," "Vocal Health and Development," "Uniting Body, Soul, and Mind through Sacred Song," "Score Analysis for Conducting," "Structure of Divine Liturgy and Vespers," "The Proper Use of the Passions in Sacred Song," and "Vocal and Conducting Technique." This is an annual event held in the western region of the US in February of each year. Please watch the PSALM website for the 2006 LSS dates.
