In the case of some liturgical musical settings the identity of the Composer (in the commonly understood sense of that term) is quite clear. Most liturgical settings, however, are either anonymous chants or polyphonic arrangements of such chants. For the purpose of this entry field, a drop-down menu has been provided containing all Composers and Arrangers, and Chant groups currently found in the database. Also included are the options "Anonymous," "Unknown," and "Other."
In the case of a "raw" chant setting that has not been arranged by any known composer, enter "Anonymous" in the Composer/Arranger field and select the Chant group from the drop-down menu in the Chant field below.
