PSALM
throughout the next six months as we continue to develop new committees and create detailed job
descriptions for each committee.

FUNDRAISING
A Fundraising Committee was formed in spring, 2003. The purpose of the committee will be to
refine the existing Fundraising Plan and to expand it to include the next three years; to develop a list
of potential funding sources, and to make specific recommendations to the Board regarding Board
recruitment, given its impact on fundraising.

Requests for funding have been submitted in the past three months to:

OSA (Orthodox Society of America)
Two potential large gift contributors
The Gerich Family Foundation

During the summer, grant requests for SUBSTANTIAL contributions will be written to several
foundations with a national scope, including Leadership 100, and the Farah Foundation.
A template for grant proposals has been developed that can now be adapted for various uses. After
doing some research, we also now have a list of fifteen foundations throughout the U.S. that give
grants to religiously affiliated organizations. Some of these foundations will only fund activities in
specific states and might be potential supporters of regional workshops.

SCOBA
In November of 2002 we made a formal request for endorsement by SCOBA, which was referred to
committee. The May meeting of SCOBA was cancelled, and the committee has recommended that
our request be tabled for the time being.

Unfortunately, some changes in my personal situation during the past year have made it impossible
for me to accomplish all of the goals that I set for myself and for PSALM. I had hoped by now to
bring in at least one major contribution. I am still working towards this goal, and hope to attain it by
the end of this membership year. I pray that the progress we have made in other areas will have a
trickle down effect on fundraising efforts made in the coming year.
